Currently, I am starting to work on a fake subsurface shader. I am spent some time playing with Maya's Subsurface shader and was not impressed. From this class I now understand what is going on with SS. I also now know the process that is needed to create the shader. My only struggle was having to implement the code for my process and getting it to work. Hopefully, I will have something to post in the next few weeks. Here is what the parameters looks like for maya's R-SS shader NOTE: This will not work on any custom shaders. You have to use maya's shaders in order for this to work. As you can see I am using a blinn to ge this to work.
